About Me:

Salutations! My name is Kristen, I am a full-time student at The College of New Jersey where I study English Literature and Publishing. Last year I worked as an editorial intern for Princeton University Press which secured my decision to pursue publishing as a career path.

I am currently the President of the English Honors Society (Sigma Tau Delta) at TCNJ and work for the national board of the same organization as the Student Representative for the Eastern Region. I have presented my work at numerous conferences and look forward to attending more in the future.

I am also a freelance writer for a little website called SevenPonds, which helps the online community to cope with with the death of loved ones through various grieving tactics. Go check it out!

My hobbies include; reading classical literature, writing poetry and short stories, mental health awareness, canoeing and kayaking, step dancing, playing piano, blogging and scrap-booking. I also love traveling, but I’ll do more of that after I publish my first poetry collection!

About This Site:

Genrecoach is a place where aspiring writers or publicists can come to learn more about literature and the publishing world. I work a lot with defining different isolated genres, but I am also interested in the process by which books appear on the shelves at your nearest bookstore!

On this site, I plan to post recent news and information about the publishing world, as well as other literary-related things that I find interesting. There might also be some shameless plugs for my blog posts or conference papers, so feel free to check those out as well!

Thanks for visiting!
